Architectural excellence in the interior design
The owners of this house like elegance, lightness and simplicity. We were asked to create a space free of unnecessary things and furniture, using mostly natural materials and leaving as much free space as possible.
Concept
In the beginning, the task was to create only the facades of the house. But we began to develop this project from the inside. We determined the most comfortable location of the windows and functional areas, positioned the supporting structures so that they would not obstruct the space, and designed the main viewpoints of the interior. Only after that did we start work on the exterior.
The sofa area is designed so that people feel more comfortable talking to each other than watching TV. Large floor-to-ceiling windows let in a lot of light, and people can enjoy the beautiful views while relaxing on the sofa.
Kitchen area
The kitchen in this house is an undivided part of the living room. It does not look like a “work” space but like one more place to relax. Thin shelves instead of bulky wall units, a console base and an island floating on glass supports make it an elegant part of the living area. Moving away from standard kitchen units, the kitchen has lost none of its comfort and has more than enough space for everything you need “close at hand”.
Lighting
To create an attractive, stylish and soft atmosphere we used different kinds of artificial lighting. General lighting gives the space an overall glow. There are only a few simple spotlights on the ceiling in each part of the space — for function and illumination only, not for aesthetic reasons. There is also technical light, needed for the plants on the green wall.
But the main role in creating the ambience is played by mood lighting. It is the king of atmosphere: it helps to divide the space and highlights special places with art objects or flowers.
All these lighting options let you create exactly the mood you want at that particular moment.
Realisation
The construction was monitored mainly through video calls. Modern materials and technologies and a highly detailed project allow remote design supervision without any loss of quality.
All materials and samples were selected by the architects and bought by the client in local shops.
