CONTEMPORARY SPACE — contemporary design with maximum use of space
A very compact apartment for a young family with a child. It is interesting for its unusual layout: the triangular living room, and the sleeping area and the workplace separated by built-in cabinets instead of walls.
The young and energetic owners do not like sleeping and plan to visit the sleeping area only in the dead of night. A bright, cosy workplace by the window matters much more to them. Despite the awkward position of the windows, natural light also reaches the bedroom — through the transparent walls of the wardrobe.
The small «Pud» lamps by the Ukrainian manufacturer Field look like little drops of art on the ceiling.
The elegant kitchen is finished with terrazzo tiles. The shape of the sofa naturally fills the triangular living room.
A very small but very stylish and ergonomic bathroom. The Biscuit tile by 41zero42 is the absolute highlight of the room. The shower, set apart in a box in the colour of the tile, supports the overall composition.
All children love houses. This child has his own cosy house within the house.
A developing environment in the children’s room (for example on the Montessori principle) can be created with simple but stylish things. Many open shelves with toys and books are within the child’s free reach, for the best development.
